Rendez-Vous 2017

From June 30 until August 16, 2017

This summer, we’ll welcome a parade of Tall Ships from around the world. They’ll land at ports around Nova Scotia including Halifax as an official race port in this epic transatlantic race covering 7,000 nautical miles. Be part of this marquee event in the celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday. There’s no better time to experience everything Nova Scotia has to offer.

Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta will see tall ships visit host ports in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.

Msit No’Kmaq: All My Relations

On August 1, 45 Indigenous youth from across Canada will set sail on a once in a lifetime voyage from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Le Havre, France. These sail trainees will take part in the last leg of the official RDV 2017 Tall Ships Regatta on board Tall Ship Gulden Leeuw.

The Islands of Halifax Harbour

Eat, Drink, Explore, Celebrate

Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta is a great time to explore Halifax’s harbour islands. By day, Georges Island will play host to guided historic tours, and in the evening, delicious lobster and oyster feasts with local wine, ciders and beers. Those with a taste for music, can catch Joel Plaskett Emergency and Port Cities at a concert venue like no other. Further out in the harbour, McNabs Island is the perfect place to bring or pre-order a picnic and enjoy a day of hiking and beachside fun.
